The incident happened during the closing stages of the Lancashire derby between the two teams on September 22.

Osmajic was initially given a yellow card for his actions but was later charged with violent conduct by the Football Association after viewing television footage.
Osmajic had until September 30 to respond to the charge for his part in the incident which could now land him a long ban.
Preston director Peter Ridsdale told talkSPORT: “Milutin Osmajic has responded within the time frame as is appropriate and he has accepted the charge that the FA have put to him.”
When asked if he admitted biting the player, he added: “He has accepted the charge that the FA put to him which was that he was seen to bite the opposing player in the game against Blackburn Rovers.
“We’ve already indicated to the player what we’re doing. I want to keep that obviously in-house but you can be assured that that’s not something that we condone as a football club and we’ve taken appropriate action.”
Following the match, Rovers boss John Eustace described how Liverpool loanee Beck, who was later sent-off, was ‘shook up’ in the changing room at full time.
He told talkSPORT: “He’s got a big bite mark on the back of his neck and he’s been in and showed all the lads that.
“He’s very disappointed to be sent off, but obviously he doesn’t like to have that on the back of his neck as well, so he’s a bit quiet in there and a bit shook up.”
Former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez was famously banned for ten games in 2013 for biting Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic.
The Uruguayan repeated his antics a year later, biting Italy’s Giorgio Chiellini at the 2014 World Cup leading to a four-month ban from all football.
