CHAN Countdown: Put trims Uganda Cranes provisional squad

Uganda Cranes Head Coach Paul Joseph Put has trimmed the provisional squad that is preparing for CHAN to 28 from the initial 36 players that were summoned initially.

The team has had three days of non-residential training since Friday and will enter residential camp at Cranes Paradise Hotel on Monday.

The players dropped include Moses Aliro, Ivan Ahimbisibwe, Walter Ochora, Ibrahim Thembo, Brian Jjara and Isima Magala.

Hakim Kiwanuka and Denis Omedi withdrew from the squad after completing their transfer to APR in Rwanda.

Milton Karisa and Sadat Anaku on the other hand have also been sidelined due to injuries.

Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania will host CHAN 2024 between 1st -28th February 2025.

The draws to determine the groups will be conducted this Wednesday, 15th January in Nairobi, Kenya.
