Chelsea vs Leicester predictions
Chelsea sit fifth in the Premier League with 46 points from 27 matches.
The Blues had a brilliant first half of the season, but have struggled since Christmas, losing five of their last ten in the league.
Chelsea’s problems have largely been on the road. The Blues have lost their last three away from Stamford Bridge, and haven’t won away from home since they defeated Tottenham 4-3 on Matchday 15 in December.
At home, things have been better for Enzo Maresca’s team. Chelsea have won their last three, and they have picked up an average of 1.92 points per a game at Stamford Bridge, compared to an average of 1.5 points per a game on the road.
Chelsea warmed up for the visit of the Foxes with a 2-1 win away at Copenhagen on Thursday. Goals from Reece James and Enzo Fernandez ensured the Blues travelled back to London in full control of their Europa League Conference tie.
The match was Chelsea’s first since they beat Southampton 4-0 on Matchday 27, meaning they should be nice and refreshed for the visit of Leicester on Sunday.
Leicester City are having a horrible time in the Premier League.
Their season seems to have gone from bad to worse since Ruud van Nistelrooy was appointed manager at the end of November.
Since winning 2-1 at Spurs on Matchday 23, the Foxes have lost four in a row without even scoring a goal, with their latest setback coming with a 2-0 defeat away at West Ham.
Furthermore, Leicester have lost 11 of their last 12 matches in the Premier League. They now sit 19th in the table on just 17 points and are five points from safety.
When the two teams met earlier in the season, Chelsea won 2-1 at the King Power Stadium on Enzo Maresca’s return to his former club.
Nicolas Jackson and Enzo Fernandez scored for Chelsea in their Matchday 12 win. Jordan Ayew scored Leicester’s consolation goal five minutes into stoppage time.
The way Leicester’s season is going, they would probably take a repeat result, as at least it would mean they finally found a goal from somewhere.

Chelsea vs Leicester betting tips
Both teams need the points for different reasons. Chelsea are looking to get back in the Champions League, and Leicester are desperate to survive. There looks to be little hope of the Foxes leaving London with anything:
Chelsea to win from -1.5 goals on handicap
Chelsea might have had their struggles in recent weeks, but at Stamford Bridge they have won their last three home Premier League matches to an aggregate score of 9-2.
Even an improved performance from the Foxes shouldn’t trouble the Londoners to the extent that they can’t beat the Foxes by a minimum of two goals.

A Chelsea win from -2.5 goals is 13/10. It is tempting, especially after they put four past the Saints in their last match at the Bridge.
Go with Chelsea from -2.5 if you wish. But we are playing it safe and going for the Blues to win by two or more.

Christopher Nkunku to score anytime
There has been a lot of criticism that Chelsea have spent a hell of a lot of money and not bought a top quality striker.
Nicolas Jackson has at times shown he is a great future prospect. But he has also blown hot and cold in his time at Stamford Bridge.
While all this has been playing out, Christopher Nkunku has been playing a bit part role in the Chelsea squad, limited to substitute appearances in the Premier League and starts in the Thursday night team used in the Europa Conference League.
In recent weeks, Enzo Maresca has given Nkunku more minutes, with the Frenchman starting Chelsea’s last three Premier League fixtures.
Nkunku’s patience finally paid off when he got a goal and an assist in Chelsea’s 4-0 win over Southampton.
Leicester look like the perfect opposition for Nkunku to grab himself another goal against.

Cole Palmer to score anytime
Chelsea’s recent patchy Premier League form has coincided with a run of six league matches without a goal or an assist for Cole Palmer. In all competitions, Palmer has now gone eight without a goal involvement.
The former Manchester City man tried his hardest to break his barren run in Chelsea’s 4-0 win over Southampton in their last Premier League match.
Surely his luck will change against the Championship bound Foxes. Palmer is just 3/10 to score or assist. So just back him to score.
