Cheltenham Festival is the ultimate event in jump racing, bringing together the best horses and jockeys in Britain, Ireland, and France.

It kicks off with Champion Day on 11 March, followed by Style Wednesday and St Patrick’s Thursday, before wrapping up with Gold Cup Day on Friday 14 March – and there are still tickets available if you want to join the fun.

Around 65,000 spectators are expected each day of the Cheltenham Festival

Cheltenham Festival day tickets at Jockey Club, from £51.30

Normally ticket prices rise in cost the closer we get to the action, but there are still £67.50 tickets for Gold Cup Day at The Jockey Club, which is widely regarded as the most thrilling day of the Cheltenham Festival.

As a social occasion, around 65,000 spectators are expected to attend the Cotswolds racecourse each day of the action.

Every day, there will be seven races with a combination of bumper races, hurdle races, and steeplechases.

If you’ve only ever seen flat racing before, you’ve been missing out on a lot of potential drama.

The mix of distance, jumps, and speed makes jump racing a real test of skill and stamina, often creating exciting showdowns between jockeys.

Here’s everything you need to know about getting tickets to watch the Cheltenham Festival, whether you want a general entry ticket or a package with hospitality.

How to buy Cheltenham Festival tickets

First of all, you need to decide whether you want tickets for Champion Day, Style Wednesday, St Patrick’s Thursday, or Gold Cup Day.

The Cheltenham Gold Cup, now in its 100th year, is one of the most iconic trophies in horse racing so tickets for this day are usually the most expensive.

We’ve seen tickets start from £67.50 for Gold Cup Day at the Jockey Club website.

Style Day on Wednesday is your chance to pull out all the stops and dress to impress, while St Patrick’s Thursday is bursting with energy, offering one of the best atmospheres in horse racing as jockeys and horses battle it out for the Prestbury Cup.

Whatever day you choose, the cheapest tickets can be found in the Best Mate enclosure, which offers a lively atmosphere and views from the side of the race track.

If you want a covered grandstand and views of the finish line, the Tattersalls enclosure is the mid-priced option.

For unlimited access, Club Enclosure tickets allow you to go into all public areas and offer spectacular views across the course and the winner’s enclosure.

Where to buy Cheltenham Festival tickets

Official Cheltenham Festival tickets are sold through the Jockey Club website.

Buying directly from the Jockey Club ensures you have access to reliable customer service if you have any questions or issues with your tickets.

If the enclosure that you’d like access to doesn’t have any tickets available, it’s worth checking out Stub Hub and Viagogo which often have last-minute availability.

However, these resell ticketing platforms tend to be more expensive, often above the face value of the original ticket.

They also add extra service fees at checkout, which can make the tickets even more expensive than they initially seem.
