Chris Stapleton moved players and coaches to tears the last time the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs met in the Super Bowl.
The two teams will go head-to-head again in New Orleans on Sunday night, in a rematch of their 2023 battle that saw Kansas City lift the Lombardi Trophy.

Ahead of that game, Stapleton sang a country-and-blues version of the US National Anthem that is still talked about to this day.
Philadelphia’s head coach Nick Sirianni immediately went viral, as tears streamed down his face on the Super Bowl sideline.
The Kelce brothers were also moved to tears as Stapleton performed.
At the time, the 10-time Grammy winner was praised on social media for his simple but powerful version of the anthem.
In the years since, a video of his performance uploaded by the NFL to YouTube, has been viewed more than 14 million times.
Stapleton’s anthem is also regularly shared on social media website X, with fans still sharing positive words about it.
“Alright… I get why Sirianni cried now,” one fan wrote this week.
“The best National Anthem performance of all time,” a second posted.
“I want him to do it again. Make it a tradition,” a third fan wrote.
While some are calling for Stapleton to perform every year, he is not on the bill for Super Bowl LIX.

Instead acclaimed musical artist Jon Batiste will be signing the National Anthem.
Batiste is a five-time Grammy Award-winning and Academy Award-winning artist known for his dynamic work as a singer, songwriter and composer.
He is also a New Orleans native.
Trombone Shorty, Lauren Daigle and Ledisi join Batiste on the pre-game bill, with the NFL honoring Louisiana’s legendary music scene.
Trombone Shorty and Daigle will perform “America the Beautiful” together, and are set to deliver a powerful rendition of the iconic song, capturing the ‘vibrant energy and spirit’ of their home state.
Ledisi, meanwhile, will perform “Lift Every Voice and Sing”.
