There is a total prize pot of $63.5 million at the Roland Garros, with both the men’s and women’s players taking home the same amount.

Singles champions will net an incredible $2.84 million.

Runners-up in Paris will receive around $1.3 million, meaning Gauff will be taking home seven figures win or lose.

The 2023 US Open champion was the highest-paid female athlete in the world the last two years, according to Sportico.

She took home $30.4 million from prize money and endorsements in 2024.

Despite not winning a Grand Slam, the world No. 2 topped skiier Eileen Gu who is second, and her fellow tennis stars Swiatek ($21.4 million) and Zheng Qinwen ($20.6 million), who rank third and fourth respectively.

Her $9.2 million prize was only bettered by Sabelanka, who came in fifth overall, while her $21million in endorsements was only topped by US-born Chinese ski star Gu who brought in $22million.

To create its annual list, Sportico relies on “conversations with those familiar with marketing agreements”—likely a player’s agent or a sponsor’s marketing insider—and also factors in “royalties, memorabilia, appearance fees, media and businesses tied to their celebrity.”

In 2022, Gauff was No. 8 on Sportico’s list with an estimated $7.7 million in combined earnings.

She has endorsement deals with Ray Ban and Meta for their smart glasses, as well as Rolex, Barber, Bose, UPS, Barilla and Baker Tilly, among other brands.

She is also part of the New Balance team, a deal she signed when she was 14.

“Nothing’s better for my game than taking my mind off my game,” she said in video endorsing Meta’s smart glasses.

“When I was younger, a lot of people used to think I lived and breathed and ate tennis…I just feel like people only see the work on the court, but don’t realize how many things I like to do off the court. I like to do a lot of things, I just don’t necessarily always share that stuff about myself.”

She continued, “People think athletes in general, we only do our sport and that’s it. But it’s definitely not, we’re people too… I do things that normal teenagers do.”

Gauff’s 2024 net worth is estimated to be around $35 million.

She idolized the Williams sisters growing up and had a picture of Serena on her bedroom wall.

“Having this is a reminder of where I want to go.”

That’s what a 15-year-old Gauff said as she pointed to the picture.

She still has a way to catch the 23-time Grand Slam singles champion when it comes to finances.

The retired 42-year-old icon has an estimated net worth of $300 million — $95 million of which was made on-court via prize money.

Williams highlighted what Gauff was lacking after the American cited her serve as a weakness in 2024.

“I feel like she has a good serve,” Williams told ESPN.

“I think that it can obviously be better, but I feel like she’s so young. She has the rest of her career to just improve.

“I wouldn’t change anything on her forehand. I’ve seen a lot of interesting forehands. And listen, if you’re just confident in whatever you have, keep it up, and just be confident about it.

“That’s literally all she needs to do is just have confidence, whether she’s hitting it with her wrist or elbow. Just have confidence doing it.”
