McGregor continues to generate revenue away from fightingGetty
Despite his total earnings, it hasn’t been a good week for ‘Mystic Mac’ who has tried to predict the outcomes of MMA events.
McGregor had stunningly backed Renan Ferreira to beat Francis Ngannou by KO, a bet which backfired with the Cameroon star stopping the Brazilian on his PFL debut.
Despite his bad week, the Irish superstar has still generated significant income, a sign that fans have been all too accustomed too during his career.
The Irishman rakes in million in revenue every year from his investments and businesses outside of the cage, which see him as one of the richest athletes in sport.
Although he hasn’t fought in the octagon since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier in 2021, the money has continued to come in for the UFC star.
He now has an estimated net worth in the range of $200m, which include his fight earnings with the UFC.
The biggest payday McGregor has received came in his lucrative boxing fight with Floyd Mayweather in 2017, which saw him pocket around $100m.
His earnings will likely increase again next year, with his planned return likely to come in 2025.
A whole host of options look set to fall at his feet, but he has suggested currently that Dan Hooker could be his return opponent next February.
