Conor McGregor was unusually quiet during a big fight weekend.
The former dual-weight champion is known for supporting Dana White by tweeting along as his events are happening – but he hasn’t mentioned UFC 306.

More than £15million was sunk into making the first sports show at the Las Vegas Sphere truly exceptional, and by all accounts, it delivered an epic spectacle.
On the same night, boxing superstar Canelo Alvarez defended his WBA, WBO, and WBC super-middleweight belts with a dominant decision win over the previously unbeaten contender, Edgar Berlanga.
Their fight took place down the street from UFC 306 at the T-Mobile Arena.
Many fans felt compelled to choose between big-time MMA and boxing – but McGregor skipped both events and watched a bare-knuckle boxing card instead.
On Monday morning, the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship co-owner recapped an incredible weekend of fights but failed to mention UFC 306 or Canelo.
“BARE KNUCKLE FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIP JUST INCREDIBLE THIS WEEKEND, WHAT A SHOW,” McGregor wrote on Instagram alongside 20 pictures of him at BKFC 66.
“Absolutely ferocious KO’s top to bottom, we won’t be beat! Fights of the weekend were at Bare Knuckle FC. Again!
“Superstars in attendance also my man Latin superstar Anuel. We watched the Cubans go 5-0 on the night ending with our World Champion Alberto ‘El Indio’ Blas closing the show in style and calling for his chance at Double Gold for Greatness!
“Also, on the night must see heavyweight sensation ‘El Zambo’ goes 5-0 with another 1st round, 1st minute KO and calls for the heavy weight title!
“THIS GAME IS CRAZY GOOD! Howard Davis also stays undefeated at LW since moving up and reignites his feud with our current 145lb ‘King’ Kai Stewart. Kai beat him prior but that was at 145!

“A different “HD” now prowls the 155 division and just scored a tasty victory with some vicious punching! Well done all! PRAISE TO GOD!”
McGregor’s show was pretty good. So, his failure to recognise UFC 306 or Canelo could be because he was simply engrossed in what was going on at BKFC 66.
However, it could also be that he doesn’t want to give either event airtime.
McGregor is currently at odds with White and the UFC about his return date.
The Irishman has reluctantly been shelved until 2025, while his comeback opponent, Michael Chandler, has been booked in another fight against former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira.
‘Notorious’ is also not in the best of places with Canelo, who recently suggested he would KO the UFC superstar if they ever fought.
McGregor has traded barbs with Alvarez online, but he hasn’t put any energy into trying to make a crossover bout with one of boxing’s pound-for-pound best.
It seems he’s 100 per cent focused on making BKFC a big success.
