Buffalo Bills pass-rusher Von Miller needed one sack against the New England Patriots to trigger a $1.5million bonus.

Three plays later, Drake Maye was on the ground and Miller was celebrating.

Miller made light work of the O-line

It took all of 55 seconds for the 35-year-old to take advantage of New England’s shoddy O-line.

It was his sixth sack of the season and there is another $2million on the line if he can hit eight.

“Crazy that the Bills are letting Von Miller chase after a 7-figure sack incentive today in a meaningless game. Just pay him out and avoid the injury risk,” wrote Boston Globe writer Ben Volin on X.

“No risk against this team,” joked a Patriots fan in response.

“Now its time for him to come out of the game,” added a Bills supporter.

Heading into Week 18, the Patriots offensive line had given up 51 sacks.

But with Buffalo heading into the postseason, Miller may follow Josh Allen onto the bench.

The quarterback appeared for a single play in the first quarter to maintain his streak of 105 consecutive starts before handing the reins to Mitchell Trubisky.

Miller would likely have hit his mark already had he not been suspended for four games having violated the NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy.

He has one more than his total for 2024, which saw him blasted by fans.

The two-time Super Bowl champ later revealed he was playing through injury.

“I could have easily sat out all of last season, but I couldn’t do my teammates like that,” he said.

“I felt like being later in my career, I didn’t want to sacrifice any of my years.

“But at the same time, I shouldn’t have been out there. I feel like people are judging me on that, so it’s making me a little bit angry, to be honest.”

The Patriots decided they had seen enough of Maye hitting the turf this season and put fellow rookie Joe Milton under center.

He completed 13 of his first 14 passes for 135 yards and a score to leave the Pats ahead.

It puts New England at risk of losing the No. 1 pick in April’s NFL Draft.

“Milton needs to chill out,” joked one fan.

“Need to put Jacoby in,” added another.
