Thursday, 21st November 2024 will remain an extra-ordinary day for the entire family of Uganda Women’s Effort to Save Orphans (UWESO).
On the day, after torrential “blessed” rains, Chop Gaming Limited officially handed over a state-of-art girls’ dormitory estimated at about Ug.Shs 150,000,000.
Mrs. Natasha Museveni Karugire was the chief guest at the official handover ceremony, representing the mother and founder of UWESO, Janet Kataha Museveni.
The spacious dormitory has a capacity of about 100 children with a 1000 litre water tank and a VIP latrine toilet.
Mrs. Karugire commissioned the dormitory before she had a quick guided tour around the facility.
I would like to thank Chop Gaming Limited in a special way as well as all the other partners for their support towards Masulita Children’s Village especially with this new girls’ dormitory. We recognize you, we honor you, and we thank you for the support. We pray we can continue working together.

It was early Christmas for the children who enjoyed a sumptuous meal, celebrated with the lively Father Christmas, as they sung several festive songs, executed plays, were served with a sweet cake and jumped higher on the bouncing castle.
Allan Tumushabe, the executive director of Chop Gaming Limited was humbled in his rich submission.
Tumushabe was flanked by Denis Mudene, the CEO, National Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board.
He further retaliated about their overwhelming desire and commitment to front such noble causes in the society.
Chop Gaming Limited is pleased to give back to the community. This is an initiative about creating a safe and nurturing environment for these children to keep their dreams without limits. Every child deserves a better environment to blossom, and this dormitory is a step towards ensuring that.

Chop Gaming Uganda Limited is famed for sponsoring a number of philanthropic activities with the recent construction for the state-of-art boxing gym in Bwaise among the latest projects.
UWESO was started in 1986 by the First Lady Hon. Janet Kataha Museveni and has over the years grown in structures and stature under the vision “A society where all children live a full life”.
Jolly Kamugire Kaguhangire, the current UWESO chief executive officer praised the work of Chop Gaming Limited and other supportive partners.
Kaguhangire hinted about the challenges they encounter as she called up other willing partners to provide a helping hand.
The dormitory we have received from Chop Gaming Limited is a significant step forward. The buildings were very old, and children were not able to sleep in a good environment. The need for more facilities remains urgent, and we deeply appreciate all our partners and well-wishers.

UWESO has a volunteer membership of over 20,000 people.
This volunteer structure provides the basis for mobilization of communities to participate and share responsibilities in improving the quality of life for orphans and other vulnerable children in Uganda.
