In 2023, the American matchmaker decided to venture into the world of highly debated sport slap-fighting.

He launched a promotion named Power Slap which debuted in January of that year, and it has since began growing into a juggernaut.

The 55-year-old has been growing the stable which has even included former UFC star Paige VanZant who has competed in the sport.

It has landed on streaming service Rumble for all eleven of the maiden events, but things are set to change dramatically.

White announced that he has negotiated a new hugely lucrative $76 million six-year deal with cryptocurrency platform VeChain.

It has seen him turn down huge interest in distribution with traditional TV broadcaster deals, to gain total control of content.

It is understood that the deal will now see the events broadcast on YouTube, with it’s existing $30 million per year deal with Rumble coming to an end.

The deal will see VeChain become a title sponsor and provide a new main stream of income for the competition.

And White also told Forbes that he will be seeking two additional sponsors to provide multiple revenue streams for the growing platform.

During a recent social media video confirming the deal, he boasted about the success of the terms.

It had the caption: “One of the most BAD A*S deals ever done in the history of sports.

“@powerslap and @vechainofficial_ to bring you EVERY EVENT LIVE and FREE on YouTube powered by VeChain. BOOOOOOM.”

In an interview with Forbes, he later added: ““We own everything, and we control everything.

“We are basically creating our own destiny. I don’t like to have to answer to anybody.

“We built the business however we see fit. We do whatever the f**k we want.”

White has also shared an agreement with Saudi investors which he has revealed will see Power Slap receive $15 million for four events in 2025 and two the following year.

But the sport has faced some controversy

It will allow for the fast-expanding sport to leap to new heights, despite concerns over safety of the fighters.

There has been backlash as to the rules of the sport and how it can medically damage the competitors.

But White has regularly lashed back at critics pointing out his new venture is regulated.

“I saw a lot of the goofballs talking s*** — goofballs being media guys — talking about, ‘What’s next, mallets?’ Stupid s*** like that,” White told MMA Fighting.

“The bottom line is, in a boxing match, guys get hit with 300-400 punches in a f****** fight. These guys are going to get hit with three slaps.

“For these morons to be talking all the s*** that they are about the athletic commission, the athletic commission did the right thing.

“So did we. We run right toward regulation, regulate the sport to make sure it’s safe for everybody — because a lot of people are going to get involved in this just like they did MMA.”
