Tom Brady was never one to do things by halves as a player and it appears he is no different off the field.

Nobody was sure how much the legendary quarterback would be involved after becoming a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders.

But it is becoming increasingly clear that Brady is more than a figurehead after he watched Maxx Crosby become the highest-paid non-QB in football history.

The superstar pass-rusher signed a three-year extension worth $106.5 million on Wednesday and the GOAT was watching on, per reports.

“Minority owner Tom Brady was present at the #Raiders’ facility when Crosby signed his contract, per source,” The Athletic’s Tashan Reed posted on X. “He’s has been heavily involved in the Raiders’ overall decision-making process, and his presence is a signal that he’ll be present in the building this offseason.”

Raiders owner Mark Davis has already confirmed that Brady will be leaned upon heavily as the franchise looks to finally find an answer under center.

With seven rings, Brady would seem to have an impressive resume.

But respected sportswriter Bill Simmons is worried that the 47-year-old may be in over his head.

“I love Tom Brady. Brought me six Super Bowls, one of my favorite athletes of all time,” said the New England Patriots supporter on his podcast.

“This is a dangerous thing where you have him running a football team thinking he knows what’s best with quarterbacks because he was a great quarterback.

“Because all of the evidence with the great players we’ve had, name the sport, mostly they’re not good at this. They think they’re seeing things that other people don’t see, and it’s not actually rational.”

Brady is currently 0-2 as an executive after courting Ben Johnson for the vacant head coach role only to see him join the Chicago Bears and seeing quarterback target Matthew Stafford remain with the Los Angeles Rams.

And Simmons is worried that the FOX Sports analyst’s voice could drown out the rest of the room.

“I’m just saying it’s not a slam dunk,” he added in a chat with NFL Network’s Peter Shrager. “Part of the problem is if you and I are in that room with Tom Brady and we were like, ‘Yo man, we think Darnold, look…’ and he’s like, ‘I’m out. I watched that game and he doesn’t have it, I’m out.’

“Are we gonna argue with Tom Brady? It’s just now it’s this one voice that sees what he wants to see.”

Brady improved after a rocky start to his life in the booth during the 2024 season and was generally well received for his role in covering the Super Bowl.

Since that game, he has fully dedicated himself to the Raiders as the team looks to usher in a new era.

Handling free angency and April’s NFL Draft is a full-time job and many analysts are concerned that Brady won’t be able to fully perform his duties in both roles.

FOX is due to launch a brand-new streaming service in time for the 2025 season and problems could arise when Brady attempts to balance his duties as an analyst and responsibility to Las Vegas.

“I just see Brady as a one-and-done,” media personality Dan Patrick said. “He does the Super Bowl, and then he decides that he’s going to be more involved with the Raiders.

“I just don’t see Tom one foot in, one foot out with the Raiders, he’s too much of a competitor.”

Former MLB executive David Samson agreed, telling the Dan Le Batard Show is was unsustainable for Brady to carry on doing both jobs.

“Tom Brady is running that team right now – the NFL knows it and FOX knows it and something has got to give,” said the former Miami Marlins president.

“It’s an absolute insult to analysts what he’s doing. And it’s an insult to team president what he’s doing,” Samson added.

“Tom Brady will not be with Fox next season, he’ll be full time in the Raiders front office running that team. Period.”
