Darren Till is willing to risk disqualification in order to knock out Tommy Fury.

The former UFC star is set to square off against Fury in a Misfits Boxing fight on January 18 in Manchester.

It will mark his second bout in the squared circle after a mass brawl broke out in the ring following his second-round stoppage win over Mohammad Mutie in July.

There were similar scenes at the launch press conference for his upcoming clash with Fury as security were forced to intervene after John Fury sparked pandemonium by throwing water over Till.

Before tempers flared, Till – a Muay Thai specialist – threatened to use his MMA moves if the contest started to swing out of his favour.

“At the end of the day, if I can’t beat you, I’ll just kick you in the face in there,” Till said at the press event.

“How about that? I’m a proper fighter, not a boxer.

“I don’t walk in a room like this and see boxing and go, ‘s***.’ I walk in [and know] no one here is a threat to me.

“Not one person in this room, security, you, your dad are not a threat to me.

“I’m an MMA fighter, so if I want to kick you or elbow you in the face, I will, and no one can do anything about it.”

Till followed up his threats by posting footage to his social media channels of him practising illegal head kicks, with the caption: “Solid day in the gym this morning.”

If Till was to throw a head kick in the bout then he would almost certainly be disqualified and could lose a significant percentage of his purse.

Ahead of Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor‘s crossover clash in 2017, there was a clause inserted in the Irishman’s contract that stipulated he would be fined $10million if he used any MMA moves.

It is unclear whether the same deterrent has been presented to Till but he would undoubtedly receive massive sanctions if he were to break the rules.

Fury didn’t seem particularly concerned by the possibility as he responded to Till’s threats at the press conference, by saying: “Well that’s not going to happen is it, Darren?

“Because we ain’t in the cage now, we’re in the boxing ring and you’re going to find out that boxing is very different to MMA.”

Till then fired back: “Well it obviously is, how are you going to stop me?

“If I’m losing the fight, I’m going to kick you straight in the face. You won’t know what’s hit you.”
