Wachiuri competed in week six of series ten, topping group C as he picked up 13 wins.
Those victories included triumphs over Leonard Gates and Noa-Lynn van Leuven.
He then followed them up by beating Jamie Lewis, Scott Campbell and Colin Osbourne on Sunday’s Final’s Night.
However, Wachiuri was ultimately beaten by Campbell in the final to miss out on glory.
Following the loss, he thanked his fans on social media in a heartfelt post, writing on X: “I’m truly honored to have been part of the @MSSdarts.
“Grateful for the ups, the downs and everything in between. The real prize was the experience- making new friends, the laughs and the lessons.
“A big thanks to everyone who made it unforgettable! Back soon!”
His final defeat did not stop a crowd from gathering to meet him in Nairobi as he returned home from the event.
Wachiuri was filmed as he was greeted by fans chanting for him whilst holding up flags and dartboards.
He was even lifted into the air at one point to crowd surf in jubilant scenes at the airport.

Several supporters also clamoured for photos with Wachiuri as his popularity continues to rise.
Despite missing out on a place in Champions Week, the Kenyan darts player will return to Modus later this year.
His involvement has already been confirmed for one of their two international pairs weeks in May and August.
It comes after Wachiuri gained a cult following back in September when he featured in the African qualifier for the PDC World Darts Championship.
Footage from the event went viral on social media due to the electric atmosphere created by the crowd, who used vuvuzelas to celebrate checkouts and 180s.
Wachiuri made it to the final of the event, leaving him just one win away from a place at Alexandra Palace.
However, he was beaten 8-7 by South Africa’s Cameron Carolissen for the African spot at the tournament.
Carolissen went on to lose 3-2 to Wessel Nijman in the first round at Ally Pally in December.
