Football fans have forever wondered if Lionel Messi could do it on a cold, rainy night in Stoke.
But the Argentinian superstar has never answered the query.
That is until tennis legend Andy Murray asked the World Cup winner the all-important question at the Miami Open.
Messi, who plays for Major League Soccer (MLS) outfit Inter Miami, was in attendance to watch Novak Djokovic – who Murray coaches – breeze past Grigor Dimitrov 6-2, 6-3 to qualify for the final.
After Djokovic’s win, the duo then exchanged shirts as the two GOATs of their respective sports met.
It appeared the former Barcelona hero also got access to the locker room as he and Murray posed for a picture together.
The Scot shared the snap on his Instagram and revealed he asked Messi the question that had been on football fans’ minds for years.
“I asked him if he could do it on a cold rainy night in stoke,” Murray wrote.
“He responded ‘cállate la boca’ which I think means yes in Spanish.”
Djokovic posted three laughing emojis in the comments while four-time grand slam winner Kim Clijsters wrote: “So jealous …”
Everton goalkeeper Asmir Begovic added: “Of course he could.”
It seems Murray may need to spend a little more time learning Spanish on Duolingo, as Messi’s response translated to: “Shut your mouth.”

However, Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham put his hand up to help Murray with his linguistic skills.
Beckham wrote: “I’m more than happy to translate that @andymurray.”
Murray may get the chance to ask Messi again should he be there to watch Djokovic in the final on Sunday against teenage sensation Jakub Mensik.
Victory over the Czech youngster would secure Djokovic’s 100th ATP title in his illustrious career.
It would also come almost 19 years on from his first won on the tour at the 2006 Dutch Open.
As for Messi, he made his return from an adductor injury in Inter Miami’s 2-1 win over the Philadelphia Union on Saturday.
The 37-year-old scored what proved to be the winner in the 57th minute after Robert Taylor scored the opener for the hosts in the 23rd minute.
Daniel Gazdag’s goal ten minutes from time set up a grandstand finish but Javier Mascherano’s side held on to pick up their fourth league win from five games.
