David Moyes is eyeing a return to a Premier League dugout with several managers facing serious pressure, talkSPORT understands.

Crystal Palace, Wolves, Southampton and Leicester could all be possible destinations for the former Man United and Everton boss.

Moyes is currently without a job having left his previous role with West Ham at the end of last season.

The Scottish boss was replaced by Julen Lopetegui, who has led the Hammers to just three wins in 11 matches so far.

Moyes led West Ham to Europa Conference League glory in 2023, putting him on the radar of a number of troubled Premier League sides.

Leicester and Southampton both secured promotion to the Premier League last season but have so far struggled to adapt.

Steve Cooper replaced Enzo Maresca with Leicester and endured a rocky start to the campaign, but has picked up two victories to put them in 15th place going into the international break.

Southampton, however, are rooted to the bottom of the table with Russell Martin’s side losing nine of their 11 games so far with a goal difference of -14 – the worst in the Premier League.

After picking up 46 points last term, Wolves have struggled to get going this term.

Gary O’Neil‘s side sit 19th in the table having conceded 27 times already in just 11 Premier League matches.

Crystal Palace are also looking anxious with the Eagles currently in the relegation zone.

Oliver Glasner replaced Roy Hodgson at Selhurst Park but has so far struggled to get the team going following the high-profile departures of Michael Olise to Bayern Munich, Sam Johnstone to Wolves and Joachim Andersen to Fulham.

Moyes, who won LMA Manager Of The Year in 2003, 2005 and 2009, still has plenty to offer and would no doubt bring crucial Premier League experience in the quartet’s fight against relegation.

The November international break represents the last pause in Premier League fixtures until March, meaning that clubs are starting to take stock of how their seasons are panning out.

While no decisions have yet been made, it’ll be interesting to see who can hold their nerve as the relegation battle starts to take shape.

talkSPORT understands that Moyes is keen to return to a Premier League dugout.

Speaking to talkSPORT last month, he was asked if it’s felt strange to not be in the dugout this season, but he said: “No, not strange at all.

“I’ve been, a few times, not in that situation. But I’m enjoying my time off, I’ve watched a few games but I’m also taking some time off to spend time with the family, play a bit of golf.

“We’ll see how things go in the future but at the moment, I’m really cool, just taking a bit of time off.”

Moyes was then asked if he will make a managerial return and replied: “I don’t know yet, I don’t know.

“I’ve not made that decision yet and I don’t want to make that decision. I just want to see how it goes.

“I’ve had some really nice enquiries from clubs and countries as well at different times, but I’m just taking my time and we’ll see how it goes.”

The Premier League now heads into international breaks with some serious conversations to be had between some clubs and their managers.
