Tony Bloom is the owner of several horses, but none of his are set to be in the Grand National this weekend.

Brighton and Hove Albion‘s owner has enjoyed plenty of success in the past, but it looks like it’ll be a quiet weekend.

Many of Bloom’s horses are trained by the legendary Willie Mullins, so he’s nailed some huge winners.

However, the 2025 Grand National looks to be one Bloom is avoiding.

Does Bloom have any horses in the National?

As it stands, Bloom hasn’t opted to include any of the horses he owns in the Grand National.

The full list of 34 entries for the race will be submitted 48 hours before, but the Brighton owner hasn’t added one of his horses to the list yet.

Therefore, we can assume he won’t have one in the race.

There are races on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at Aintree, but Bloom hasn’t entered a horse for any of those either.

That means it is likely to be a quiet weekend for Bloom.

However, Cheltenham proved to be very successful for the British businessman.

During the Triumph Hurdle, his 100/1 horse Poniros stormed to victory on its hurdling debut.

This was a bit of history as before that, no horse had ever won that particular race as a debutant.

In the process, it won £150,000, but it’s unclear if Bloom bet on it.

Certainly, Mullins didn’t advise it.

Speaking after Poniros’ win, the Irishman said: “If he did, it wasn’t on my advice! We were hoping that he’d run well and be a nice horse for next year. But he’s ahead of schedule.”

“We bought him in October, we just schooled him and then gave him a break.

“We thought it’d be better to drag him in from the field and get him ready for Cheltenham, and that’s what we did.

“But I didn’t expect any more than a nice run. We had a lot of horses in the race and they all came here with the same plan.

“I couldn’t believe it when I saw him flying through the middle of them, I just didn’t believe it.”
