Golf stars rub shoulders with celebrities at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am this week.
The iconic course features some spectacular holes set on the cliffs of the California coastline.
None more so than the par-three seventh, which is among the most famous holes in the world.
It is the shortest par three on the PGA Tour as golfers tee off from Arrowhead Point onto the green below with the Pacific Ocean on their right.
NBA icon Dwayne Wade had the chance to play it in September 2023 and lived every casual player’s dream.
The 13-time All-Star hit a beautifully judged shot in windy, overcast conditions as the ocean rumbled in the background.
It went straight for the pin and rolled in, leading to wild scenes as Wade wheeled away in celebration.
“My first hole-in-one baby. At Pebble Beach,” he yelled. “I’ve been waiting on this hole for three years! That’s what I’m talking about.”
“From the NBA hall of fame to the Pebble Beach Hall of Fame. I might as well get golf tattooed on my body, I’m locked in for life!” Wade wrote when sharing the clip. “HOLE-IN-ONE!”
The three-time NBA champ is not going to let people forget his special moment – he posted a throwback on his Instagram in 2024.
“One year ago today I played my cards right & got that Ace
bro literally teed up in front of the markers,” he wrote.
Fans had some bad news in the replies.
“Looks like you’re just in front of the tee box. Sorry but that’s gonna be +1,” wrote one.
“Stealing a few yards there looks well ahead of the markers,” another said.
“Penalty,” insisted a third.
Wade retired in 2019, 16 years after being drafted by the Miami Heat.
He has moved into broadcasting and has also been putting time into his golf game.
The Olympic medalist even had a lesson with the GOAT Tiger Woods three years ago.
Per Golf Digest, it was filmed on February 22, 2001, a day before the golf great’s car accident.
World No.1 Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy are both playing at this week’s event – their first PGA Tour appearances 0f 2025.
Defending champion Wyndham Clark is also in the field with the celebrity participants revealed soon.
