Eddie Hearn believes a third fight between Katie Taylor vs Amanda Serrano makes huge sense and a 2025 clash is being explored.
Taylor and Serrano met in a blockbuster sequel in November, sharing the limelight on the Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson card in front of more than 60,000 fans in Dallas, Texas.
The Irish champion retained her belts for a second time, having won by unanimous decision, but fans inside the arena booed with the result deemed contentious by many.
Serrano had been cut in the fight but bravely battled on and many thought she had done enough to win.
Naturally, there were widespread calls for a trilogy clash, particularly given the commercial success of the first event, which saw 72 million people tune in to the event on Netflix.
Hearn revealed talks had begun for the pair to meet for a third time in another instalment of their modern-era classic rivalry.
And he insists the fight could land in two locations, with a stadium being eyed again.
“I think so,” Hearn replied on talkSPORT Drive when asked if a trilogy between Taylor and Serrano will happen in 2025.
“There is two things that Taylor hasn’t done. Fighting in Las Vegas or fighting at Croke Park.
“So I think the Amanda Serrano trilogy makes sense on the back of viewership on Netflix.
“If we could do it in Vegas or Croke Park, it would be a fantastic way to maybe end her career.
“She is the same as Anthony Joshua, 2025 could be her final year for both of them.
“But it would be incredible.”
There would likely once again be huge eyeballs on the event, particularly given YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul could fight on the same card.
Taylor and Serrano do have their own selling power of course, given the pair packed out Madison Square Garden for their barnstorming first clash in April 2022.
The Irish champion is now 38 and is in the twilight years of her career, and has faced questions over whether to retire.
And immediately after the fight, she insisted she could be open to meeting Serrano again.
She said: “I’ve beat her twice now, so is there any need for a trilogy?
“But if she wants it, it’s her fight [and] I can absolutely give it to her again.
“I’m gonna have to make that decision now obviously in the next few weeks or so.
“But I love my sport, I love my boxing and tonight was a great night. But I do feel like I have maybe one or two more fights in me.
“I had my homecoming in Ireland in the 3Arena. It was amazing to headline the 3Arena twice. Absolutely incredible. I’d love a Croke Park fight for sure, but we’ll see what happens.”
