Edmonton Oilers at Dallas Stars predictions
With his fingerprints on all three Oiler goals Wednesday evening, Leon Draisaitl cataloged a goal and a pair of assists. With his three-point outing, Draisaitl has stockpiled 19 points in 11 playoffs this year.
After posting back-to-back shutouts in the blue paint, it turned out to be a rocky display for Stuart Skinner.
The netminder let in five pucks past him off 27 total shots he faced, bringing in his 2025 postseason GAA to 3.39.
Voted the First Star of the game, Tyler Seguin led the way on the stat sheet lighting the lamp on two occasions. Tallying three points in under 16 minutes of work, the 33-year-old accumulated five shots on target.
Returning from injury late in the second round, Miro Heiskanen registered his first multipoint game in the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Through four postseason affairs, the slick blue liner has as many points. In 475 regular season games, Heiskanen has amassed 283 points.
Edmonton Oilers at Dallas Stars betting tip
Game 1 saw a barnburner of a contest take place with a nine-goal thriller. We feel Friday’s tilt should see both sides come back to playing defence first hockey and tighten things up. For Edmonton, the key will be discipline as they conceded three power-play goals.
The combined save percentage between both starters in net for the first game of the Western Conference Finals was .852 percent. We expect the duo in net game 2 will improve their performance along with the solid backings that these two opponents have produced to back the under.
The Oilers’ total has gone under in 14 of the previous 19 games, while Dallas’s five of their last seven have gone under the total mark.
When these two collide, the under has transpired in five of the last six games at American Airlines Center. After Wednesday’s offensive outburst, we feel the under has a decent shot at occurring in game 2.
