Sheffield Wednesday have failed to pay their players on time in March.
The club have confirmed that a ‘temporary issue’ has caused the delay.

A statement explained that money owed to chairman Dejphon Chansiri businesses has affected cashflow.
The statement read: “Sheffield Wednesday can confirm a temporary issue with the payment of player salaries for the month of March.
“This has occurred as a result of significant sums of money owed to the chairman’s businesses which has in turn impacted on the club’s immediate cashflow.
“The chairman is working hard to resolve this situation at the earliest possible opportunity and in the meantime thanks everyone for their patience and understanding.”
Meanwhile, talkSPORT understands that Owls boss Danny Rohl is unlikely to be at the club beyond this season in another crushing blow.
The German coach has been in charge since October 2023, having arrived with the club seven points from safety last season.
Rohl went on to guide the club to safety, further boosting his popularity amongst supporters.
However, he has been a long-time target for Southampton, with the Saints eyeing the 35-year-old in December before appointing Ivan Juric.
He has continued to be linked with a move to St. Mary’s in recent weeks, though, as the club edge closer to relegation from the Premier League.
The Owls are currently 12th in the Championship, five points off a play-off spot following a draw at Cardiff on Saturday.

Speaking after the match, Rohl praised his players as he explained: “I think this result was fair for both teams.
“At this stage of the season it’s not an easy game and in the first half we felt that, playing against a team fighting for their life to stay in the league.
“I saw a team in the second half on the front foot, creating pressure and moments. It was exactly the game I expected. A team in Cardiff who will do everything, fight for the duals and second balls.
“I must say, our away performance has been incredible this season, even though we only take a point today.”
Rohl’s side are next in action when they welcome Hull to Hillsborough this weekend.
It comes amid their latest off-field turmoil during the tenure of Chansiri, who bought the club in 2014.

The owner previously cited cashflow issues last season after asking fans to raise £2million to help with HMRC debt and wages.
Wednesday have also found themselves subject to a transfer embargo from the EFL multiple times over the last two seasons.
They were most recently hit with the sanction in November due to unpaid HMRC debt.
