Rotherham’s loss on Saturday left the club sitting 16th in the table.

In a club statement, Rotherham also confirmed Paul Raynor, Gary Millsand Ian Pledger have gone with immediate effect.

Matt Hamshaw and Andy Warrington along with other staff to be announced will steer the ship for the remainder of the season.

Rotherham initially brought Evans back to the club last April after they agreed a compensation package with Stevenage.
