‘Elbow in his mouth’ – Shaq says he’d make Wembanyama and $44m OKC star quit NBA in wild X-rated rant

Shaquille O’Neal won four NBA championships and was a 15-time All-Star.

But instead of promoting the modern NBA in his post-playing career, the Hall of Famer is increasingly becoming a ‘hater.’

O’Neal ripped two of the best young players in the league and seemed to enjoy shredding the reigning NBA Rookie of the Year.

“I would make both of them mother****ers quit,” O’Neal said on The Big Podcast.

The former Los Angeles Lakers great took serious digs at San Antonio’s Victor Wembanyama and Oklahoma City’s Chet Holmgren.

Wemby stands 7ft 3in and weighs 235lb, while Holmgren is 7-1 and 208lb.

O’Neal’s weight fluctuated throughout his career, especially during his later playing days.

He’s listed at 7-1 and 325 pounds on some websites, which means that the original NBA Superman would have held a 117-pound advantage over Holmgren in the post.

O’Neal used his podcast to remind everyone that he would have flattened Wemby and Holmgren, if they had matched up when O’Neal was in his prime.

“I hate putting myself forward in time but … I’m going to back his a** and elbow right in his mother****ing mouth,” O’Neal said.

The flip side of O’Neal’s fighting words is the fact that Wembanyama and Holmgren could have easily just run past the 325lb O’Neal.

Wemby and Holmgren would have skated around O’Neal in the paint, then been able to shoot over him all over the court, especially around the 3-point line.

But he added weight and became one-dimensional

But with O’Neal still thinking it’s the 1990s — when teams barely shot 3s — he was certain that he would have destroyed and embarrassed two of the NBA’s best young stars.

“You know what they’re going to do all night?” O’Neal said.

“Shoot the mother****ing 3. And if you miss, I’m going to run right by you and ****ing post, and you’re going to be screaming, ‘Three seconds!’

“I’m going to make the mother****er quit.”

Many fans pushed back against O’Neal, who seems to have no love for the modern NBA, despite being one of the league’s biggest announcing voices on TNT.

“Dude make it stop,” one fan tweeted.

“You probably weigh more than the two combined,” a second fan posted.

“LOL,” a third fan wrote. “Shaq a bitter old man.”

“Death, Taxes, Shaq hating the modern center,” a fourth fan said.

O’Neal averaged 23.7 points, 10.9 rebounds and 2.3 blocks while shooting 58.2 percent from the field during his 19-year career.

But he also had a .045 career 3-point percentage and only took 22 3s.

Wembanyama is averaging 22.5 points, 10.8 rebounds and 3.7 blocks while shooting 46.9 percent from the floor through 117 NBA games.

He’s attempted 797 3s while connecting on 33.9 of them.

Thus, in one and a half seasons, Wemby has already taken 775 more 3s than O’Neal ever did.

“Shaq can’t guard them,” one fan tweeted. “He won’t be able to keep up, so it be a question of who can wear who down the quickest LOL.”

What can’t be debated is O’Neal’s opinion of Ben Simmons, who’s made $200 million in career earnings but is now on his third team and is a career 13.9 percent 3-point shooter.

“Ben Simmons (needs) to be ****ing arrested,” O’Neal said. “$250 (million) for that bull***? Get the **** out of my face. Robbing people, man.”
