Brandon Moore and Skylar Lacy’s heavyweight battle was simply chaotic, with two wild incidents marring their fight.

The pair met on the undercard of Claressa Shield’s undisputed heavyweight title victory over Danielle Perkins at the Dort Financial Center in Michigan last night.

Anticipation for their clash had been at an all-time high, given they were involved in a violent confrontation at the final weigh-in.

The pair held each other by the scruff of the neck, and were separated by their respective teams.

But nobody in the boxing world could have predicted the pure chaos that would unfold in the squared circle when the pair finally got to settle their feud.

It was a fight of limited quality with Lacy fighting in a hugely scrappy and untidy manner.

And the first incident came in the third round, as Lacy backed his opponent Moore into the ropes trundling forward.

Ultimately it saw the pair crash into the ropes in the corner, where a DAZN cameraman was situated.

He tumbled from the side of the ring, but was fortunately not injured, and climbed back up to take his position.

He gave the other cameras a comical wave to confirm he was okay following the collision.

But the drama wasn’t over as the pandemonium continued, with the eighth round barely possible to believe.

The pair once again trundled to the ropes in an exchange which almost mirrored one of the WWE‘s weekend Royal Rumble wrestling pay-per-view.

And Lacy crashed his rival over the top ropes, falling on top of him and out of the ring.

He was deducted a second point of the fight for tackling, but that wasn’t the pair’s biggest problem.

Moore was sent back first crashing into the announcing table situated ringside, with Lacy falling on top of him.

The pair couldn’t move as they fell through it, with members of the commentary team scrambling away to not be caught up in the collision.

Ultimately the referee counted to 18 for the pair to get back in the ring, but waved off the contest.

Moore was handed the victory, with Lacy justifiably disqualified for the contest, for illegal tackling, breaking boxing rules.

When returning to his position, commentator Corey Erdman said: “This fight should have been stopped two rounds ago.

“How embarrassing is it that this fight has been allowed to continue?”

It was a bad bad look for the sport in such a prestigious event with history made, but Moore and Lacy certainly did not produce a spectacle.

But the two incidents did intrigue the fans, given it was rarely seen before in a boxing ring.

Leigh Wood and Michael Conlan’s fight produced a similar incident, but the latter was sent flying out of the ring instead due to a stunning KO.
