Getting a win against a talented, unbeaten fighter won’t be easy, but Smith has all the attributes necessary to ask questions of his opponent. Yarde by KO/TKO is 4/9 on the bet365 site and app, with the points victory 10/3. Arthur is 17/2 for a points win, and that’s a more likely outcome than the KO/TKO at 18/1. Yarde vs Arthur is another cracker, and I expect a night off for the judges at ringside. This fight not lasting the distance is 4/11 (bet365), and that’s worth a spot in your fight night multiples. With that approach, you’re backing either man to win inside the distance.
A knockout looks likely, and that helps us narrow our search. Arthur has been stopped only once in his career, despite mixing it with top names like Dmitrii Bivol. Arthur famously beat Yarde on a split decision in 2020 before Yarde scored a revenge knockout win in round four in the rematch. I expect the Londoner to tip the head-to-head scores in his favour.
Neither warrior will have to go looking for his opponent. Yarde vs Arthur will meet in the middle of the ring, and the fight will quickly become a shoot-out. I’m taking Yarde to win this one late, picking rounds 10-12 at an exciting 13/2 (bet365).
Chris Billam-Smith vs Brandon Glanton odds
The third and final fight of note from the Chris Eubank Jr vs Conor Benn card has fans’ favourite Chris Billam-Smith up against Brandon Glanton at cruiserweight across the globally recognised championship distance of 12 rounds.
Both men enter the ring with identical records, winning 20 and losing two bouts. Bournemouth’s Billam-Smith is currently ranked number one in the UK at the weight and third on a world chart headed by Mexico’s Gilberto Ramirez and Australia’s Jai Opetaia. The 34-year-old is 5/6 favourite at bet365 with a points win 6/4 and the KO/TKO 5/1 with the same sportsbook. Another fight the traders can’t nail down.
Brandon Glanton is the underdog as he travels from his home in California to the UK capital. But which fighter will have their hand raised at the end of the contest? Will the victory head back to the South Coast with Chris or be on a jet across the Atlantic with Glanton?
It’ll be an action-packed bout, but I’m siding with home advantage and taking Billam-Smith to move his record to 21 wins from 23 starts, placing him on a collision course with the two names ahead of him in the world rankings. He won’t get things all his way and must earn the result, but if Billam-Smith is at his best, he’ll secure a hugely important win.
