Express FC put up a remarkable performance to overcome UPDF FC in Bombo on Monday to end the first round of the League on an impressive note.

The Red Eagles earned a 2-0 win over the Army Side thanks to goals from Conrad Ssenjogera and Samuel Ssenyonjo.

Like it was the case against Soltilo Bright Stars FC when he came off the bench to score twice on his debut, Ssenjogera was at it again in Bombo.

The forward who replaced Rashid Kawawa at the start of the second half was at the end of a cross from Ssenyonjo in the 54th minute.

Ssenyonjo too got onto the scoresheet nine minutes later, converting from the spot after Geoffrey Gagganga was fouled in the box.

The result moved Express FC to third place on 25 points while UPDF FC end the first round in 11th place on 17 points.
