KCCA vs Maroons – Lugogo 7pm
Interim Express FC head coach Badru Kaddu and his captain Emmanuel Wasswa are confident of getting back to winning ways when they face Wakiso Giants at Wakisha on Thursday.
The duo, speaking to reporters echoed similar sentiments stating that Express is a big team that shouldn’t drop points on consecutive match days after drawing away to Police and losing to Lugazi in their last two matches.
“We go there with the arrogance of a big team,” said Kaddu who replaced sacked Baker Mbowa on interim. “We are a big team and must show that and I am confident we are going to do well and win the game,” he added.
For Wasswa, losing two games on the bounce is unheard of at a bigger club like Express.
“We are Express and so we can’t lose two games in a row,” he sounded a warning. “As players, we are ready and this should be an easy win for us,” he added.
Like Express, Wakiso Giants are also on a bad run with no victory in their last three matches which has piled pressure on coach Steven Bengo and his staff.
They come into the game on the back of a 2-0 loss to NEC in a game they wasted chances and that is a bother for Bengo as he still misses Herbert Asiimwe, his main goal poacher.
Marvin Oshaba who faces his former paymasters must step up and show his qualities against familiar opponents.
