Wardley was set to face Jarrell Miller in a highly anticipated heavyweight bout but the American had to withdraw from the fight with a shoulder injury.

Instead, the Australian Huni steps in, in his place a huge opportunity for the 26-year-old and undefeated heavyweight.

Out of Huni’s 12 fights he’s won seven by KO and won five by decision.

Wardley is the huge odds-on favourite for this though.

The Brit has gone undefeated in 19 fights, with one draw, and as many as 17 knockouts.

Managed by Dillian Whyte, he’s been guided into these heavyweight belts fighting in the biggest possible stadiums and events.

Him and Frazer Clarke drew at the O2 Arena in London in March 2024 via split decision, before he went on to win in the first round by TKO in the rematch at Kingdom Arena in Saudi Arabia.

The 30-year-old retained his British, Commonwealth and WBA Continental heavyweight titles and puts them on the line for the fourth time having won the Continental back in April 2023.

Wardley spent only up until five weeks ago preparing for this bout against Miller.

It will be interesting to see how he approaches his new opponent in Huni, who holds the WBO Global and IBF Pan Pacific titles.
