Tyrese Campbell scored the only goal for the Blades at Bramall Lane.
Hamer joined 6′ 7″ centre-back Harry Souttar for the post-match player interviews.
However, fans were stunned to see how the Dutchman was able to appear in frame with his team-mate, who stands a whole foot taller.
Footage from the stands showed Hamer, who is 5′ 7″, was stood on a stool during the interview to limit the height difference.
Reacting on social media, one supporter wrote: “Sky making Hamer stand on a step next to Souttar,” with a string of crying laughing emojis.
Another wrote: “Gustavo Hamer found a great way not to look tiny next to Harry Souttar during interviews.”
Despite not getting on the scoresheet against Wednesday, Hamer has been in scoring form this season.
He currently has four goals and an assist in 14 Championship appearances following relegation from the Premier League last term.
As for Souttar, the Australian international now has nine clean sheets in 14 league matches since signing on loan from Leicester.
