Luke Littler’s passionate celebration over a video game has left fans making hilarious comparisons.

The 18-year-old recently achieved a historic triumph over Michael Van Gerwen in the PDC World Championship final, marking an unforgettable milestone in his young career.

Not only did Littler etch his name in history as darts’ youngest-ever world champion, but he also claimed an incredible £500,000 prize.

He charged through to a stunning 7-3 victory, completing a remarkable comeback from last year’s loss in the final to Luke Humphries.

In a poignant moment, Littler was brought to tears as the final double 16 sealed his destiny as the king of the sport.

It was a profoundly overwhelming moment for the newly crowned superstar, and Van Gerwen was quick to embrace him, offering congratulations to the teenager.

Despite his reaction to this monumental victory, fans couldn’t help but draw parallels to a recent video of him playing EAFC, formerly known as FIFA, on a livestream.

In the clip, Littler’s goalkeeper saves a penalty and he erupts with joy, leaping out of his chair in celebration.

One fan joked: “Luke Littler just celebrated more saving a penalty on FUT Champs than he did winning £500k from darts.”

Another said: “That’s real pressure.”

Another pointed out: “People forget he’s 18; I’d do the same at 18.”

The 18-year-old has frequently expressed his deep love for gaming and EAFC.

Littler jumped up out of his chair in excitement.

Fans even speculated about his intriguing decision to withdraw from the Hungarian Darts Trophy in 2024, as it coincided with the early access release of EAFC 25.

Littler cheekily responded on social media: “What a coincidence.”

Last year, he even took the time to open an Ultimate Team pack for a fan during one of his walkouts.

In February, the young star shared that he planned to spend his prize money from the PDC World Championship on enhancing his Ultimate Team.

“That’s what I’ve always done,” Littler told The Times.

“When I win money, I just treat myself, buy some packs, and get some good players.”

The youngster even revealed that he brings his Xbox along when touring across England.

“When I am abroad, I cannot take my travel case,” Littler told the JaackMaate Happy Hour podcast.

“But when we went to Brighton, I just took my travel Xbox.

“It’s a suitcase; you flip it up, it has the little screen, two controllers, you have a wireless phone. You put your phone on it, and it charges. Target got it for me.”

His gaming adventures continued earlier this month despite a tough loss to Gerwyn Price during the Bahrain Darts Masters.

Price recorded an astonishing three-dart average of 115.31, the highest in Bahrain Darts Masters history, sending the teen sensation packing.

Yet, despite the heavy defeat, Littler was straight back on the Xbox opening EAFC packs.

Despite his ongoing exploits on EAFC, Littler will soon be stepping back up to the oche.

From February 6 to May 29, he will journey around Europe, aiming to defend his Premier League title.
