The US Open is almost here as the world’s biggest stars look to win golf’s third major of the year at Oakmont.
Rory McIlroy won The Masters to complete the career Grand Slam in April before Scottie Scheffler claimed PGA Championship glory in May.

Now, another major champion will be crowned as Bryson DeChambeau defends his title in Pennsylvania.
It promises to be another thriller after DeChambeau and McIlroy’s battle last year, and here are the favourites to come out on top…
Scottie Scheffler 3/1
World No.1 Scheffler is the clear favourite to win the US Open for a reason.
He is in incredible form after making a slow start to the 2025 season, winning three of the last four events he’s played in.
The 28-year-old won the Byron Nelson before following up glory at the PGA Championship with victory at Memorial.
Scheffler hasn’t finished outside the top 10 since March, so he’ll surely be up there challenging at the top of the leaderboard again.
Despite not winning the US Open yet, he’s finished T7, T2 and third in recent years and will want to go all the way this time.

Rory McIlroy 7/1
Masters champion McIlroy will have some bad memories come rushing back when he begins the US Open this month.
Last year, he led with five holes to play in the final round before collapsing late on to hand the title to DeChambeau.
And that followed another second-place in 2023, when Wyndham Clark held off McIlroy to win by a shot.
But it will mean he’s extra motivated to make up for his close calls and claim another US Open title.

Bryson De Chambeau 8/1
LIV Golf star DeChambeau is the defending US Open champion and he’s looking for his third win in this major.
He also came out on top in 2020, so to see him tipped as one of the favourites to do so again isn’t a shock.
On top of his record in this event, he’s also heading to Oakmont in great form, having finished T2 in the PGA Championship and T5 in The Masters.
DeChambeau also won in Korea on the LIV tour, so with his performances impressive, he’s got to be confident.
His battle with McIlroy last year will certainly be in his mind as he looks to go back-to-back at the US Open.

Jon Rahm 12/1
Another LIV star follows in the list of US Open favourites, with Jon Rahm hoping to bring an end to his recent woes.
Since his Masters win in 2023, he hasn’t tasted major success again, but he has won this tournament before.
The Spaniard’s first-ever major came in the 2021 US Open as he took home over $2million for finishing ahead of Louis Oosthuizen.
He will hope to recreate that win, but he failed to finish inside the top five at The Masters and the PGA Championship this season.
Rahm was consoled by his wife after faltering over his final three holes at Quail Hollow, allowing Scheffler to run away with it.

Xander Schauffele 20/1
After winning two majors in 2024, World No.3 Xander Schauffele has struggled to reach the same heights this year following some injury issues.
He only has one top 10 finish in nine events this season but that did come at The Masters.
Schauffele’s struggles mean his odds of winning the US Open aren’t as short as in previous years, but you definitely can’t count him out.
In eight appearances in the event, he has finished inside the top 10 seven times, with his best finish coming in 2019 in third.
