Highmark Stadium has been turned into a winter wonderland ahead of Sunday Night Football.

The Buffalo Bills are set to host the San Francisco 49ers in Week 13 of the NFL, and the game could take place in sub-zero temperatures.

A blizzard has already hit Orchard Park this weekend, leaving the area blanketed in snow.

Crews have been working to clear Highmark Stadium ahead of kickoff on Sunday, with snow plows on the field and shovelers in the stands.

The Bills shared footage of the scene late on Saturday night, praising the efforts of those inside the venue.

“Shoutout to our snow removal crews for getting Highmark Stadium ready for tomorrow night,” they wrote.

Buffalo is also appealing for fans to sign up and help clear the stadium with more snow expected in the coming weeks.

“In anticipation for the upcoming annual snow removal at Highmark Stadium this winter, the Buffalo Bills are asking anyone over the age of 18 years old interested in snow removal to sign up now,” a statement on their website read on Friday.

“Due to unpredictable snowfall, we may not know if shovelers will be needed until the day before.

“We will call all shovelers based on the availability that is provided. The rate of pay will be $20 per hour with food and hot beverages provided.”

A lake-effect storm warning remains in place for the Buffalo area through Monday, with anywhere from two to three feet of snow forecast ahead of the game.

Snow showers are also likely Sunday night while the players are on the field, according to CBS Sports.

The Bills are no strangers to playing in the snow, but the 49ers may face a few problems, as they are not used to this kind of weather.

San Francisco’s starting quarterback Brock Purdy is also questionable for the game, having sat out last week’s defeat to the Green Bay Packers with a shoulder injury.

This weekend’s snowstorm in Buffalo comes nearly 11 months after their wild-card playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers was postponed due to blizzard conditions back in January.

Despite the lake-effect storm warning, there has been no indication that the NFL plans to change the schedule this time around, and the game is set to kick off on Sunday at 8:20pm ET.

“This is going to be concerning for people trying to travel to the football game,” Erie County executive Mark Poloncarz said at a news conference.

“We do not expect the game to be postponed or anything like that. The game will go on.

“[We’ve] had games that are colder, [But] people need to be prepared. It’s the first real cold of the season. We haven’t had anything like this all year.”
