Patrick Fishburn fired a bogey-free five-under-par 65 Friday to grab a one-shot lead alongside American compatriot Denny McCarthy at the halfway stage of the PGA Tour’s Sony Open in Hawaii.McCarthy, who shot an opening six-under-par 64 on Thursday, overcame a shaky start which featured two bogeys in his opening three holes to move up the leaderboard.
