Floyd Mayweather stuck true to his ‘Money’ moniker by generously tipping the security guards at Selfridges.
The American boxing legend was in the London department store on a spending spree.

And he parted with another £2,000 on his way out as a gift for the guards.
However, the workers were left outraged when they were told they couldn’t pocket the funds and would instead be forced to donate all of it to charity.
“The guards are absolutely furious,” a source told the Daily Mail.
“It’s just so unfair. This was a gift for keeping him safe and security don’t get paid a lot.
“Selfridges have effectively taken their cash.
“The personal shoppers who helped Mayweather were allowed to keep their tips, which was £3,000 each.
“But bosses have decided the guards are not allowed their money, and it will be given to charity.
“Security have asked to see receipts from the chosen charity, but bosses refused to provide them.
“They then asked if they could at least pick the charity it goes to, and it sounds like that’s not happening either.”
The guards aren’t employed directly by Selfridges and instead work for a contracted security firm, leaving them reluctant to challenge management over fears of losing their jobs.

“One of them was thinking of organising a protest about it, but is scared for his livelihood,” the source said.
“When Mayweather comes in, he is treated like royalty, walking the shop floor for hours and getting what he wants,” the source added.
“He spends about £200,000 each time he visits, and they give him a 10 per cent discount.
“Contracted security guards are not even entitled to a discount.”
It remains unclear whether Mayweather is aware of where his tip has gone.
Selfridges refused to comment on the matter.
