2024-2025 FUFA Big League:
- Gaddafi 3-0 Busoga United
Gaddafi football club (under management of the staff association for UPPC) smiled 3-0 past Busoga United during a 2024-2025 FUFA Big League duel played at the Works playground in Entebbe Municipality, Division A on Tuesday, 17th December 2024.
Rashid Kawawa, skipper Thomas Kakaire and second half substitute Jonathan Bula (penalty) were all on target for the club christened as the “Printers”.

Kawawa gave the hosts the lead on 34 minutes thanks to a well finished effort past goalkeeper following a decent through pass by captain Kakaire.
The printers took a slim 1-0 lead coming to the mandatory half time recess.
Gaddafi held firm grip onto the game with Kakaire’s curler into the roof of the net from 20 yards with a quarter of an hour to play.

The third goal was a perfectly drilled penalty by super substitute Bula who sent the goalkeeper Didi the wrong way.
The Congolese national had been brought down in the area before he recollected himself to convert the resultant penalty kick.

Kakaire was denied by the crossbar for his second goal on the sunny evening as the minutes trickled down the clock.
As the referee Vincent Kavuma blew for full-time, there was joy from the home team players, officials and fans alike for yet another routine victory on the home turf.
This was Gaddafi’s 6th victory of the season in 9 games as they hit the summit position with 20 points, same as Blacks Power.
Gaddafi has a better goal difference compared to Blacks Power who have played a game more.
Busoga United suffered their 6th loss in 11 matches as they remain second from bottom on the 15 team log.

“The victory is good for us all. I thank the players, our coaches and fans. The target is to win all the home matches as we eye decent performances away from home” Gaddafi captain Kakaire revealed.
Match day 12 will be held on Sunday, 22nd December 2024 with Gaddafi visiting Arua Hill in Gulu (Pece War Memorial stadium).
Three clubs will be promoted to the 2025-2026 Uganda Premier League.
