The first semi final of the Nations League takes place in Munich on Wednesday night, with Finals hosts Germany taking on Portugal.
Germany will be taking part in the Nations League Finals for the first time and the advantage of hosting them as they bid to become just the second European nation to combine all three international trophies.
Julian Nagelsmann’s side book their place in the last four with a 5-4 aggregate victory over Italy in the quarter finals after finishing top of their group containing the Netherlands, Hungary and Bosnia.
Germany have lost only one of their 17 matches in all competitions since the start of last year, which came in extra time against Spain in the quarter finals of the Euros last summer, giving them an eight match unbeaten run ahead of Wednesday’s semi final.

Inaugural Nations League champions Portugal stand in their way of a first ever final in this competition, with their opponents bidding to become the first nation to win the competition twice.
Roberto Martinez’s side needed extra time to book their place in the semi finals as they fought back from a 1-0 first leg deficit against Denmark to eventually progress 5-3 on aggregate with the aid of two extra time goals.
Their quarter final first leg defeat was the first time Portugal had been beaten in 90 minutes in eight matches, having suffered a penalty shoot out defeat to France in the last eight of the Euros.
The winner of Wednesday’s semi final will take on the winner of Thursday’s game between Spain and France in the final in Munich on Sunday night, while the loser will compete in the third place play-off in Stuttgart on Sunday afternoon.
Portugal have been beaten in each of their last five matches against Germany dating back their last victory over them in Euro 2000, with their most recent meeting coming the group stage of Euro 2020 when the Germans won 4-2 in Munich.
