Four-time African champions Ghana will be the biggest miss at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after failing to qualify for the 35th edition.

The Black Stars needed victory against table leaders Angola in Group F to take qualification fight to the last day but could only manage draw which leaves them bottom with only three points and no win in five matches.

Niger who beat Sudan 4-0 on Thursday gave themselves a chance as they take on the Black Stars in the final game but must win and hope Sudan lose to the Angolans.

Elsewhere, 2012 champions Zambia joined the party after edging champions Ivory Coast in Lusaka thanks to Musonda’s goal.

Zimbabwe also held off a challenge from Kenya to draw 1-1 in South Africa and that sealed their spot as the Harambee Stars can’t catch them even if they lose to the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in Yaoundé in the final match.

Nineteen nations have so far qualified including Uganda who lost 2-0 to South Africa at home in group K with five remaining spots to complete puzzle.

One spot could be filled if Tanzania fail to beat Ethiopia in Addis Ababa on Saturday in Group H as results between already qualified DR Congo and Guinea wont matter for the Slyli Nationale.

Afcon 2025 qualified teams

Morocco (hosts), Algeria, Angola, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Comoros, DR Congo, Egypt, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Mali, Senegal, South Africa, Tunisia, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe
