Air Jordan, meet Air Wilson.

It was the catch that broke the internet.

Garrett Wilson’s jaw-dropping touchdown catch from Aaron Rodgers left the football world stunned.

Channeling his inner Odell Beckham Jr., Wilson cocked back with his right arm and plucked the ball out of the air with one hand.

Initially ruled an incompletion, the call was overturned as Wilson was able to stay to stay in bounds and get his left shin down upon further review.

The internet proceeded to collapse upon Wilson’s magnificent grab and the slow motion replays detailed in incredible athletic skills from the 2022 Offensive Rookie of the Year.

While the catch brought back memories of Beckham Jr.’s one-handed catch against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football, it was another sport icon that Wilson was immediately compared to.

His airness, Michael Jordan.

Fellow teammate and wide receiver, Davante Adams, said Wilson may need to join the Jordan brand after his Jordan-esque Jumpan pose he hit while reeling in the football.

“I told him he might get kicked from Adidas after that one,” Adams said.

“That one looked like he headed over to Jumpman with me. I’m gonna talk to some people.”

There isn’t a more iconic logo in all of sports, than Jordan’s Jumpan.

Wilson’s one-handed catch drew comparisons to Odell Beckham Jr.’s one-handed grab, that happened ten years ago on SNF

And Wilson replicated it perfectly, in the middle of an NFL game, with a degree of difficulty that is hard to believe.

Until you see it.

And the whole world saw it, as the internet exploded and the reactions started pouring in.

“The Catch that saved the Jets’ season”, Robert Griffin III posted on X.

One fan was left in absolute disbelief, posting on X, “I have not gasped as loudly at a player’s catch since *the* Odell Beckham Jr catch in 2014.

“My lord, Garrett Wilson is not human. Rule of cool and all that, yes, but he may have actually gotten his shin down! “Catch of the year” would be an understatement”

Another fan posted, “I try not to get caught up in the moment, but Garrett Wilson just had one of the greatest touchdown catches in NFL history.”

Even Wilson himself couldn’t believe that it was a catch at first.

“I wasn’t that confident, honestly,” Wilson admitted after the game.

“I don’t really know exactly what goes into it, but they said I had the shin down. You know, we’ll take it. We’ll take it.”

The Jets will definitely take it, as ‘the catch heard ’round the world,’ turned the game around, as New York was able to snap its’ five-game losing streak.

Sitting at 3-6, the Jets better be hoping that Wilson has a lot more Jordan in him.

There were more positive for the Jets as Adam grabbed his first touchdown since arriving via trade from the Las Vegas Raiders

But with the Jets looking for a spark, it might be Wilson’s magic moment that does it for them.
