Shane Lowry was quick to get the beers in after he followed Rory McIlroy by sinking a hole-in-one at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
McIlroy achieved the second ace of his PGA Tour on the par-three 15th hole on the back nine at Spyglass Hill on Thursday.

And moments later on Thursday, his Ryder Cup teammate and close friend Lowry not only matched his feat – but upstaged the 35-year-old.
The Irishman’s ace occurred on the famous 113-yard seventh hole which overlooks the Pacific Ocean on the front nine of the Pebble Beach course.
It means that the 37-year-old has now completed his own golfing Holy Trinity by producing a hole-in-one on three of the world’s most iconic par threes.
Lowry also aced the par-three at Augusta National’s 16th hole in the final round of the Masters in 2016.
That was after making a hole-in-one on the par-three 17th at TPC Sawgrass’ island-green three years ago in the third round of the Players Championship.
The pair’s success means it is the first time in 16 years that there has been multiple hole-in-ones at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
And it proved to be a brilliant opening round for both Lowry and McIlroy, with the duo two of six players to finish six-under on Thursday – two strokes behind leader Russell Henley.
And Lowry was quick to celebrate his and McIlroy’s achievement by getting in a bucket of Guinness and Bud Light for the awaiting media.
Taking to his Instagram story, the Clara native shared the crate of beers on ice, captioning the photo: “Couple of cold ones, Rory McIlroy.”
Speaking of his latest hole-in-one, a delighted Lowry said: “I’ve been very lucky with all the ones.

“There and Augusta and Sawgrass. Yeah, I don’t know what to say.
“I guess it’s just luck of the Irish or something, I don’t know.
“I know I’m pretty good at times, but you know, a bit of luck every now and then is helpful, too.”
And Lowry was also quick to point out whose ace was the better after watching footage of McIlroy’s slam-dunk.
He quipped: “Mine is definitely better.”
While Lowry planned to revel in his achievement, he stressed he wouldn’t go overboard ahead of the second round – though joked a joint-bar tab with McIlroy could be in order.
He stated: “School night, so unfortunately not for me.
“If there’s a few people there at dinner, I’m sure.
“Hopefully Rory’s there as well, I get to split the bill with him.”
