Elio Capradossi enjoys playing with either Halid Lwaliwa or Bevis Mugabi at centre back.
The intelligent centre back has played with both since he got his national team call up, first with Lwaliwa against Botswana and Algeria in the World Cup qualifiers in June and then with Mugabi versus South Africa and Congo in Afcon qualifiers.
“They are all good guys,” he told Kawowo Sports. “Mugabi is very intelligent and reads the game well and so Lwaliwa. I don’t care who am paired with,” he added.
The former Italian youth international also talked about the atmosphere at Namboole.
“Wow, its amazing! It brings about goosebumps when you move out there and that pushes us.”
The new number 13 came off in the last minutes of the 2-0 win over Congo but says it was just about the coach making changes and nothing to do with him getting injured.
“Playing two games in a space od 3-4 days had its toll on the bodies and perhaps the coach maybe needed fresh legs,” he explained.
Capradossi and Uganda Cranes return to action next month with back to back matches against South Sudan who have lost both of their opening matches in the road to Morocco 2025 campaign.
