Kane netted their second of the night with a thumping header from an excellent inswinging cross by Michael Olise.

It’s the 31-year-old’s 34th goal of the season for Bayern and one that has increased his contributions total to an impressive level.

The England captain now has at least 30 goals or assists away from home in Europe’s top five leagues since the start of last season.

Only Salah and Mbappe have achieved the same for Liverpool, and Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid respectively.

Kane’s overall record for the 2024/25 campaign now stands at 44 goals and assists across all competitions.

He is also the leading goalscorer in the Bundesliga on 23, which is six more than second-placed Patrik Schick of Bayer Leverkusen.

The former Tottenham man’s latest efforts have come a week after he hit an incredible milestone in the German top flight.

Kane’s goal in Bayern’s 3-2 win against St Pauli meant he has scored against all 19 Bundesliga sides that he’s faced since joining.

It also saw him break the 100-mark for total goals and assists for the club, for whom he continues to flourish.

Bayern have extended their lead at the top of the Bundesliga to nine points ahead of reigning champions Leverkusen.

Dimitris Giannoulis opened the scoring for Augsburg on the half-hour mark but Jamal Musiala levelled the scoring before half time.

Cedric Zesiger was then shown a second yellow card to send the hosts down to ten moments before Kane netted on 60 minutes.

An own-goal from Chrislain Matsima in stoppage-time then wrapped up the three points for Bayern.

With six games left to play in the league, they are closing in on their record-extending 33rd title in the top flight of German football.

Their season could become even more successful in the Champions League as they face Inter Milan in the quarter-finals.
