Harry Kane has picked up yet another individual accolade but his wait for a trophy rumbles on.
The England forward netted the opener in Bayern Munich’s 2-2 draw with Inter Milan in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final, which the Italians won 4-3 on aggregate.

Having received a pass from Leon Goretzka inside the box, the England international squeezed his effort through the legs of Federico Dimarco and past Yann Sommer, who stood rooted to the spot.
Thanks to his goal, it meant Kane had now scored against 21 different opponents in the Champions League and became the Englishman who had scored against the most teams in the competition.
The figure moved him ahead of Paul Scholes, who had netted against 20 different teams.
Unfortunately for Kane and Bayern, their lead on the night lasted just six minutes.
It was Inter’s superstar striker Lautaro Martinez who equalised in the 58th minute when he pounced on Joshua Kimmich’s inability to clear the ball inside his own box.
The Argentine reacted quickest to poke home from close range and put the Nerazzurri back in front on aggregate.
Inter struck again just three minutes later via Benjamin Pavard, who joined the Italian side from Bayern in August 2023.
Pavard rose highest to nod home a corner from Hakan Calhanoglu and celebrated wildly knowing Inter now had one foot in the semi-finals.
Bayern pulled one back in the 76th minute via Eric Dier, who produced a delightful looping header over Sommer.
Dier’s goal sparked a frantic final 14 minutes, but Inter showed why they are one of the best defensive forces in Europe as they held firm for the 4-3 aggregate victory.
