Every golfer dreams of hitting a hole-in-one during their career.

But it’s a dream that very rarely becomes a reality for professionals, even though they compete almost every week.

It is one of the rarest achievements in the game with a fair amount of skill, accuracy and luck needed to pull it off.

An ace on a shorter hole is tough so a hole-in-one on a par four is impossible, right?

Has there ever been a hole-in-one on a par four?

There have only ever been seven professional hole-in-ones on a par four in history.

Andrew Magee became the first player to hit an ace on such a hole in 2001 and you won’t believe how it happened…

Magee pulled off the feat on the 17th hole at the Phoenix Open.

He launched a tee shot over 332 yards and it went so far, it bounced into the group ahead of him who were still finishing off the hole.

The ball ran onto the green and rolled into Tom Byrum’s putter, off which it rebounded directly into the hole.

Amazingly, the shot still counted as a hole-in-one!

American veteran Chip Beck became the second to achieve the feat two years later, sinking a hole-in-one at the 2003 Omaha Classic.

Speaking after pulling off the incredible tee shot, Beck said: ”I’ll remember this shot forever.

”I’ve played this game for 37 years and I’ve never seen anything like it, just read about it.”

Rahill Gangjee was then the next golfer to ace a par four, eight years after the last player to do so.

He managed to achieve the feat at the 2011 Mylan Classic on the 15th hole of the final round.

Richard Green then hit a hole-in-one on a par four in 2015 before two golfers on the LPGA Tour pulled it off.

Ha Na Jang holed her tee shot at the 2016 Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic to become the first-ever female player to do so.

Minjee Lee then followed a month later, scoring an albatross at the Kia Classic in California.

And the most recent player to achieve the feat was Timmy Crawford at The Ascendant event on the Korn Ferry Tour.

Crawford fired his tee shot over the water and aced it from 336 yards.

A fan saw the shot go in and said afterwards: “He hit it directly at the hole.

“There was no bend, two hops and the third one on the green and it rolled straight in.”
