Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich conclude their campaign against Hoffenheim this weekend. Vincent Kompany’s team will be keen to sign off on a high having already wrapped up the title.
Hoffenheim are not yet safe from the threat of relegation, so they could do with getting something here. Will Bayern get the job done at the PreZero Arena?

Hoffenheim vs Bayern Munich predictions
Bayern Munich are back at their throne again. After finishing third in 2023/24, normal service has been resumed this time around.
Bayern wrapped up the Bundesliga title earlier this month when Bayer Leverkusen, the defending champions and their closest challengers, were held to a 2-2 draw by Freiburg.
Bayern were in a celebratory mood last weekend. They beat Borussia Monchengladbach 2-0 at the Allianz Arena and then toasted their title triumph on the pitch.
Bayern have dominated German football for the last decade and a half, but Leverkusen’s success in 2023/24 meant the Bavarians could not take anything for granted this season.
Leverkusen kept hold of their manager Xabi Alonso and the bulk of their championship-winning squad, so Bayern knew they would be in for a fight.
Ultimately, though, they have been pretty comfortable. Leverkusen made a shaky start to the season and were unable to recover from it. Bayern have been top of the table ever since the middle of September.
Regaining the title for Bayern represents a solid debut season for Vincent Kompany. It is fair to say the former Burnley boss was not Bayern’s first choice to succeed Thomas Tuchel.
Alonso was the club’s plan A last summer, but when they failed to land the Leverkusen manager Bayern worked their way down the alphabet.
After being unable to recruit the likes of Julian Nagelsmann, Ralf Rangnick, Oliver Glasner and Hansi Flick, Bayern eventually turned to Kompany, who had just been relegated to the Championship with Burnley.
One of the main reasons Bayern hired Kompany was his ability to speak German, and there was plenty of scepticism following the appointment. On balance, though, the Belgian has fulfilled his remit for season one.
More will be expected next term, though, especially in the Champions League. Bayern have one more game in 2023/24, after which attention will quickly turn to the Club World Cup and planning for next season.
“We can take a moment now to enjoy winning the Bundesliga, what an incredible feeling!” Kompany said once Bayern were safely over the line. “I want to congratulate the players for their outstanding effort throughout the season. You’ve done this together. You’ve won it as a team.”
Will Bayern sign off on a high by beating Hoffenheim on gameweek 34?

Hoffenheim vs Bayern Munich betting tips
Hoffenheim host Bayern Munich in the final round of Bundesliga fixtures this season.
Bayern Munich to win and both teams to score
Hoffenheim are strong favourites to survive in the Bundesliga, but they cannot be certain of their place at Germany’s top table just yet.
Going into the final day, Hoffenheim are safe from automatic demotion and three points clear of the relegation play-off spot.
That means they will be safe come what may if Heidenheim fail to beat Werder Bremen. If Heidenheim win and Hoffenheim lose, there would need to be a seven-goal swing for the two teams to swap places.

That is not impossible given Hoffenheim are facing Bayern Munich, although the home team will hope that Kompany’s men have taken their eye off the ball now the title has been won.
Bayern should prove too strong anyway, but Hoffenheim should be able to find the back of the net.
Back Bayern Munich to win and both teams to score at 23/20 with SBK
Over 3.5 goals
Bayern Munich’s league matches have featured an average of 3.85 goals this season. That is not only the highest figure in the Bundesliga but also the highest in any of Europe’s top five leagues.
Hoffenheim’s games have generally been entertaining too, with an average of 3.33 goals per 90 minutes.
Christian Ilzer’s side have a difficult balancing act this weekend. It is unclear what sort of approach they will take.
For example, if they went 1-0 down to Bayern and learned that Heidenheim were 2-0 up against Werder, would they go defensive to protect their goal difference or push forward to try and get the point that would secure safety?
With Bayern likely to play with freedom and a degree of attacking abandon, this should be an open game regardless of Hoffenheim’s preference.
Tip over 3.5 goals at 4/6 with bet365
Thomas Muller to score any time
Thomas Muller will pull on the Bayern Munich shirt for the last time in the Bundesliga this weekend.
The club legend will officially bid farewell to Bayern after the Club World Cup, but this feels like the real goodbye.
Kompany will probably hand the 35-year-old a rare start here and everyone at Bayern will be willing him on.
Muller can secure a fairytale ending by scoring in his last ever league appearance for his boyhood club.
