Leeds United welcomed a familiar face to Elland Road on Saturday.
Hollywood superstar Will Ferrell was spotted in the stands for their Championship clash against Burnley.

The American funnyman later took his seat in the stands to watch Leeds in the flesh for the first timeGetty
The Anchorman and Elf actor was loving it, too, wearing a Leeds hat and later being pictured holding up a shirt on the pitch in full view of delighted supporters.
The 57-year-old American comic great purchased a minority stake in the Yorkshire club earlier this year – joining fellow actor Russell Crowe, Olympic icon Michael Phelps and Major golf champion Jordan Spieth as stakeholders in 49ers Enterprises.
Ferrell is a bit of a sports nut – as well as being a huge fan of ice hockey team Los Angeles Kings, he is also the co-owner of Major League Soccer side Los Angeles FC, and has even played for a number of baseball teams in various charity and comedy stunts.
A number of his famous friends have also taken the plunge into football ownership – with Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney taking over at Wrexham in 2021 and since leading the Welsh club from the National League to League One.
NFL legend Tom Brady has also joined the ownership group at Birmingham City, while fellow American football star JJ Watt invested in Burnley in 2023.
Ferrell’s investment in Leeds was confirmed in May, and Saturday’s clash against the Clarets is the first time he’s been able to make it to a game at their Elland Road home.
There was nothing Hollywood about how he got to the ground, though – deciding to take the train.
Ferrell is no stranger to football having previously attended Premier League matches at Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City.
He was tipped to attend the Championship play-off final at Wembley Stadium last season, to watch Leeds and Southampton battle for promotion back to the top flight, but his plans to travel to London fell through.
That was probably a good thing, as Leeds went on to lose that game 1-0 – the same scoreline he watched Wrexham lose at the Home of Football in the 2022 FA Trophy final.

Ferrell and David Beckham were both guests of Reynolds and McElhenney that day, only for the Dragons to suffer defeat to Bromley.
Ferrell was quizzed on his love for football in 2023, after being spotted watching Man City’s 3-1 premier League win over Aston Villa.
Gatecrashing Sky Sports’ broadcast to shake hands with Roy Keane and Gary Neville, he said: “I don’t really have a side over here.
“I just enjoy following all the storylines. It’s obviously a very good league.”
Well, he has a side now – let’s hope he knows the lyrics to ‘Marching on Together’.
