Hulk Hogan shocked the world when he choked out a TV show host.
In 1985, the WWE legend and Mr T. were on a media tour promoting their tag team match, which featured Muhammad Ali as a special guest referee at WrestleMania 1.

Five days before the event that has become the biggest on the wrestling calendar, Hogan – real name Terry Bollea – got himself into trouble during an appearance on the Hot Properties show.
TV host and comedian Richard Belzer repeatedly asked Hogan, who was hesitant and pointed out that the floor was hard, to try out a wrestling move on him in front of a live audience.
Eventually, Mr. America agreed and put him in a front chin lock.
“You just tell me, brother, when you want him to stop squealing,” Hogan jokingly said to someone off-camera before things took a scary turn.
The host fell unconscious seconds later. When Hogan released his grip Belzer crashed to the floor and smacked his head as the crowd let out anguished gasps.
Belzer was motionless for a few terrifying moments, but then the wrestling legend gave him a little smack on the face, and he popped back to his feet.
Always the professional, Belzer managed to cut to a commercial break even though he looked disoriented and had blood pouring out of the back of his head.
The Hot Properties host didn’t return to finish the show, but Hogan did to say sorry to the people who saw the stunt go wrong.
An apology wasn’t enough for Belzer and he launched a $5million personal injury lawsuit.
“I sued Mr. T. I sued Hulk Hogan. I sued Vince McMahon. I sued the World Wrestling Federation. I sued them all,” he said in footage shown on Netflix’s Mr. McMahon docuseries.

Bollea revealed that his boss was furious with the bad press ahead of the inaugural WrestleMania.
“Yeah, Vince wasn’t really happy with me,” Hogan said,
“We were in a very, very vulnerable stage with WrestleMania.
“For me to be going around choking people out and stuff…”
Belzer and Hogan reached an out-of-court settlement for an undisclosed amount.
The funnyman later revealed that he used the money to buy a house, which he gave a unique name that acts as a constant reminder of his skirmish with Hogan.
“We sued him and he settled out of court,” Belzer said.
“Now I have a lovely home in France called ‘The Hulk Hogan Arms’.
