Max Verstappen won’t be hanging around at next year’s enormous new Formula 1 unveiling event.
The sport is planning to celebrate its 75th anniversary next year ahead of the 2025 season.
As part of the celebrations, history will be made at an event in London on February 18.
However, Verstappen didn’t appear to have been looped into the announcement, admitting he does not know what the F1 75 launch is.
F1 75 will be held at the 02 Arena, with all 10 teams unveiling their new liveries on the same night for the first time in history.
Drivers and team principals from each team will also be in attendance, including Verstappen alongside his new Red Bull car.
The event has been planned to mark the sport’s 75th anniversary ahead of the season opener in Australia on March 16.
Whilst streaming, he was asked if he was excited to attend, but replied: “What is that?
The Dutch driver, playing a video, had his friend explained the event and he added: “I don’t know what F1 75 is. What is the chat talking about? I don’t watch any F1. I hope I’m sick that week.”
Meanwhile, Verstappen will be hoping to head into 2025 as a four-time world champion.
He currently leads the Drivers’ Championship standings with three races remaining having won the title every year since 2021.
The 27-year-old is 62 points ahead of nearest challenger Lando Norris.

Verstappen extended his lead by winning the Sao Paulo Grand Prix in Brazil earlier this month.
His victory at Interlagos was his first win in 11 races, a run dating back to June’s Spanish Grand Prix.
The season is once again on hold this weekend before the run-in continues from next week.
Verstappen and Co will be back on the track at the Las Vegas Grand Prix on November 23.
