Sam Jones has revealed John Fury took issue after he criticised his role in his son’s defeat to Oleksandr Usyk.
Fury Sr was part of a three-man corner for the Gypsy King’s points defeat to Usyk in their undisputed title clash in May.

Fans on social media claimed that his advice clashed with that of Sugar Hill Steward and Andy Lee, and contributed to Fury’s first career demise.
Boxing manager Sam Jones supported that view, insisting the corner would need some changes for their December 21 rematch.
And in the latest episode of talkBOXING with Simon Jordan and Spencer Oliver, Jones revealed that Fury’s father took issue with his view and angrily confronted him in person.
“Listen, John Fury pulled me up about it at the Joshua fight [loss to Dubois],” he said.
“He wasn’t happy with my comments, I said that there were too many voices in Tyson’s corner. I think having three voices all bellowing instructions at you is not good for anyone.
“That’s just my opinion. But I just thought that you need SugarHill there and Andy Lee. His dad can be around because he’s his dad.
“Listen, whatever anyone thinks about John Fury, he wants his son to win, right? But shouting different instructions to your son in front of SugarHill, who is the main trainer.
“It’s like when my dad used to watch me play football, not very well. He would shout instructions at me that you probably shouldn’t say. It’s a hard one.
“But I wasn’t saying that John Fury shouldn’t be anywhere near Tyson. I just don’t think he should be in the corner. That’s my opinion.
“My opinion won’t change on that. I think he should have Andy Lee in there, a cut man, and SugarHill. That’s all he needs. And someone to put the stool in the ring.”

Despite the advice, it was only fine margins for Fury who was only pipped on the judges’ scorecards by split decision.
But he did come close to being knocked out in the ninth round, and will need a career-best display to overcome his rival.
Despite criticism, Fury has refused to blame his team and insists he done enough to win in concurrence with their advice, scoring himself the winner on his own scorecard.
He has also suggested he will not change anyone in his corner, and the team will remain the same for the rematch later this year.
But trainer Andy Lee has claimed that it will be only Sugar Hill Steward who will be permitted to give instructions during the fight.
Boxing pundit Oliver agreed with Jones’ original view on Fury Sr’s role, but believes it is wise of the former champion to keep his corner the same.
“Too much noise that comes from John Fury,” he added.
“I think SugarHill and Andy Lee are great students of the game, they understand the game. They’re two good voices that you need in there.
“They’ll understand when to be loud and when to pull it back and be calm. They’re the two voices you need in the corner. John Fury is very loud and brash, and you don’t need that.
“I also think it’s a smart move by Tyson Fury not changing the corner, by the way. I think that they’re both educated enough to make those slight adjustments.
“There doesn’t need to be a big change. It wasn’t a one-sided landslide victory for Oleksandr Usyk.
“Tyson Fury never got knocked out. But there needs to be changes from Tyson Fury in his performance.”
