Micah Richards realised he had a huge hole in his t-shirt just minutes before going on Match of The Day.
The former Manchester City defender joined usual co-stars Alan Shearer and Gary Lineker to review the Premier League games on Saturday.
But just before going live, Shearer noticed his pal had suffered a wardrobe malfunction.
Relaying the story on the Rest Is Football podcast, he said: “I’ve gone [into the changing room], put on my spray, ironed my gear, looking fantastic if I do say so myself.
“As soon as we get to the studio I just see Alan [Shearer] grinning.
“I was just like ‘what’s he grinning at now?’ and he says that I’ve got a hole in my top.”
Richards thought his pal was winding him up, but much to his horror, he soon realised there was indeed a hole in the armpit of his grey long sleeve t-number.
“Obviously I think he’s pulling my leg.” Richards continued. “I pull it up and I got a massive [hole].”
But with just minutes to go before the trio went on air, Richards had no time to change.
Instead, he had to do the hole show, sitting in a position that hid the hole in his armpit.
“I couldn’t move on Match of the Day,” he laughed. “I was so self conscious it was horrible.”
Watching the show back, Richards does sit with his right arm resting against his body and on his leg.
So we’re guessing that’s where the gaping hole was!
Lineker added: “Normally you do a lot of mannerisms with your arms.
“You had a big split underneath your armpit of your shirt.
“That’s what happens when you’ve got guns like that Micah!”
“Hulk exploded before he came on air!” Shearer joked.
While his co-stars found the whole ordeal hilarious, Richards found filming a little bit of a struggle.
He added: “I was sweating the whole show!”
Richards managed to get through the programme in the end.
But next time he’s in the Match of The Day dressing rooms, he may well lift his arm pits up when double checking in the mirror.
