The NBA’s third all-time leading scorer has had quite the journey since retirement.
Karl Malone, nicknamed “The Mailman,” is the best player in Utah Jazz history and is one of the better players the entire Association has ever seen.

He was a two-time MVP, 14-time All-Star, 14-time All-NBA and even led the Jazz to two Finals appearances.
Only LeBron James and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar have scored more points than Malone in NBA history.
Malone and teammate John Stockton ushered in the most successful period of basketball in Jazz history.
They were teammates for a ridiculous 18 seasons.
Something that is very unlikely to happen again.
Malone began his career in 1985 and retired after the 2004 season.
He played his first 17 seasons with Stockton in Salt Lake City and his last season in Los Angeles as a Laker.
In total, Malone made a little over $104 million in his 18-year career.
In both Finals appearances with Utah, Malone and the Jazz fell to Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls in back-to-back seasons in 1997 and 1998, both in six games.
He made it as a member of the Lakers, but was more of a reserve that season, when they got swept 4-0 by the Detroit Pistons in the 2004 finals.

While he finished his career without a ring, Malone still owns one of the most prolific careers of all-time.
The Mailman delivered on the court time and time again, but eventually moved on to his other passions.
The 61-year-old is a Louisiana native where he owns a Timberland property and occasionally lends his time as a part-time truck driver.
Malone has always had a fondness for timber-haulers and long-distance truck driving.
He has owned and invested in numerous trucking businesses.
Malone has also spent his time and money in other ventures such as commercial development and restaurants.
Some of the restaurants that Malone owns are Teriyaki Grill, Eskamoe’s Frozen Custard & More, and Arby’s.
All located in Louisiana.
From hoops to trucks to restaurant chains, Malone found success everywhere he went.
